Senior Construction Accountant
Role:
As a Sr. Accountant for a large construction consulting firm, you will get the opportunity to expand your skills beyond the accounting world. The Accountant will perform standard corporate accounting procedures of an S-Corp including billing, Payables, Receivables, general ledger, month-end, etc. as well as while expanding knowledge in forensic auditing and analysis relating to construction costs and damages.
A successful candidate will be analytical as well as self-motivated with the ability to continually learn the more and be interested in the construction management processes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage in-house accounting needs
- Handle bookkeeping
- Organize taxes
- Correct auditing issues
- Familiarization with GMP Auditing
- Handle high scale claims
- Prior experience with S-Corps
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree is required (Accounting degree preferred)
- CPA preferred (or in progress) but not required
- 5 + years minimum in related construction accounting experience a plus
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Experience with Deltek preferred
