Maintenance Supervisor 1st shift  Facilities and production equipment.

Job Description:  

Responsible for all predictive, preventative, and ongoing daily maintenance of all production and support equipment, along with facility pneumatic and water systems. Ensures molding machines and peripheral equipment are maintained and efficiently producing good quality parts. Works with Process Technician and Molding Supervisor to manage set-ups/sampling activity. Supervises, schedules, and directs daily activities of Set-up technicians on all shifts. Also will be in charge of facilities and grounds crew.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  Supervise all Set-Up Technicians including scheduling, onboarding, training, managing performance and fostering work environment where employee growth and success is achieved.

·  Primary focus to schedule and perform preventative and predictive maintenance in all areas of the business to maintain 100% uptime with all machines to maximize profitability. Measures maintenance department success by internal customer satisfaction.

  Trouble shoot machines and equipment failures. Performs general repairs, reading and comprehension of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schematics. Providing specialized labor with an aptitude for repair of production equipment.

  May specialize in an area above general maintenance knowledge to perform project work with Engineering and Production departments. Able to build work cells, and assist in laying out utilities.

  Install, repair and maintain robots and secondary equipment. Basic robot programming and PLC troubleshooting.

  Manage vendors when contractors are used to service presses, auxiliary equipment, building and grounds services, and predictive maintenance activities.

  Orders all repair parts and spare parts for molding presses and auxiliary equipment. Keeps stock of all routine supplies used for mold setting.

  Educate, train, and advise others in safe practices with equipment and energy. Follow all prescribed safety/housekeeping practices and procedures. Identify and tag safety hazards on machinery and in work area. Perform 6-S activities and improvements as required. Lead by example executing the highest safety standards in the company.

  Regularly participates in problem solving teams. Acts as a technical resource for other problem solving teams. Supports company initiatives to improve department efficiency and/or reduce costs

  Supports maintaining of the facilities, grounds, and building, in a safe cost effective manner.

  Maintain record keeping to document maintenance activities, keeps schedules, Create PM records in the system according to all equipment manufactures recommendations for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual requirements.

  Gets service quotes, researches costs to make decision with Plant Mgr. and within budgetary constraints.

  Work with other team members and participates in team events and meetings.

  Understands, encourages, and supports 80/20 tools.

  Other duties as assigned.

 Job Requirements

Minimum Position Requirements:

  Able to read, write and speak English Fluently.

  5 Years of experience in Manufacturing Maintenance

  Strong supervisory, leadership and interpersonal skills

  Strong work ethic, ability to work independently and within a team setting

  Must be able to operate lift trucks and fork trucks.

  Able to lift up to 55 lbs, stand and walk most of the job.

  Occasional stoop, climb, bend, reach.

  Knowledge of Plastic Injection Molding a plus

  Strong Communication Skills

  Strong Team Player
