Award Winning engineering consulting firm with offices in Long Island and Manhattan New York has a new opening for a Water Wastewater Engineer.
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team of talented professionals in Long Island, NY As a Water & Wastewater Engineer /Senior Project Manager, you are responsible for:
- Managing environmental water/wastewater projects
- Preparing project designs and reports
- Preparing and administering construction contracts
- Managing financial resources and project profitability
- Completing project permitting requirements
- Client relationship management and development activities
- Communicating with staff as needed to ensure projects are completed timely and on budget
- Providing project review, QA/QC and compliance to client specific requirements
The position will involve facilities planning, design and permitting of water distribution systems and pumping stations, sewer collection systems and lift stations, storm water systems, and water/wastewater treatment plants. This includes water/wastewater treatment process design and modeling, hydraulic evaluation and design, design/feasibility reporting, construction documents/specifications, and construction oversight/administration.
Additional areas of responsibility may include:
- Assisting with staff training
- Providing recommendations to supervisor regarding staffing requirements
Job Requirements
Required Experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with environmental emphasis
- P.E. license is a plus
- 7+ years' project experience involving:
- design of water distribution and treatment systems
- wastewater collection, conveyance, and treatment systems and processes
- hydraulics
- on lot systems
- environmental assessments
- Minimum 5-10 years project management experience
- ability to provide timely project deliverables
- develop and maintain excellent client satisfaction
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Previous experience with:
- computer modeling of water systems
- hydraulic design software
