My reputable client located in Manhattan is searching for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their MEP group and lead their Mechanical Engineering department. He/She will be responsible for leading multiple mechanical projects; including plumbing, fire protection, and sprinkler projects. My client is looking for an individual with strong mechanical building systems background. Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects in HVAC, plumbing and fire protection design including evaluation, modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria for various institutional clients' projects; plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate mechanical engineering work; coordination of the project with local, city, county and state codes and officials; resolve a variety of complex problems, i.e., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and/or difficult coordination requirements; serve as a liaison between clients and agencies, subcontractors, and design teams; review project contract documents; provide technical guidance and supervise the work of other engineers and technical support personnel.
Required Skills
PE is preferred, but not required.
LEED is also preferred, but not required.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required from ABET accredited engineering university.
Must have working knowledge of or ability to use AutoCAD and/or REVIT.
10 years' experience is required
